Disposing of Old Equipment
Old equipment may contain private or sensitive information. In addition, the Waste Electrical
and Electronic Equipment Directive requires that you dispose of old computers in an environmentally friendly manner.
We have collected relevant information so you can choose how to dispose of your equipment safely and securely. If you would like us to take care of it for you, we offer a service which is WEEE compliant and includes safe and secure removal of your data.
In short, for £60 plus VAT per PC, we will collect and dispose of your machine using the following methods:

- We may reuse computer equipment where possible, either by
- Donating working equipment to good causes
- Re-using it within our organisation
- Giving it away to clients (we may charge an amount to the client for fitting and warranty)
- Recycling computer parts to members of the "Freecycle" group in Ayrshire
- We will destroy completely and beyond use any data remaining on your equipment
- Where equipment cannot be recycled due to failure, obsolescence or age we will dispose of it in bulk with a WEEE approved recycling company.
